Game Description:
Step into the shoes of a medieval tavern keeper and manage the taverns in a little city. In this immersive simulation game, you will manage and grow your very own taverns in a bustling fantasy kingdom. Start from scratch and transform your little tavern into a place where you can get drunk in an atmospheric environment.
Key Features
Immerse yourself in a small, atmospheric town set in the 14th century, with cozy village squares, lively streets, and residents who love to drink. The town is fully explorable, with plenty to discover, and you even have your own home!
Everyone starts small. In the beginning, you're on your own. Sweep the floors, wipe down the tables, pour drinks nonstop, and fill your guests' bellies. Quick service will be rewarded with satisfaction and tips. But if you keep your guests waiting too long, word will spread, and your tavern's reputation will suffer.
Drinks are first tapped at the respective bar before being handed to the guest. Meals are either cooked, grilled, or served raw on the plate, depending on the ingredients.
Many guests also mean a lot of mess. Sweep the floors, wipe down the tables, and make sure your tavern stays clean, so that it leaves a tidy impression.
Cater to a diverse range of customers, each patron has unique needs and will rate your tavern depending on its own perception. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages.
There are 7 kinds of customers:
Beggar
The lower class, including beggars, have almost no demands but also little money. They are known for making a lot of mess and aren't particularly well-regarded in society. If you want your tavern to have a more upscale feel, you should avoid having too many beggars among your guests.
Peasant
The average citizen is probably the most common type in the town. They don't have any negative or positive effects on other guests. Their demands are modest, and since they are usually regular workers, they tend to carry more gold than a beggar.
Guard
A guard has higher standards. When a guard is present in the tavern, guests tend to behave better and cause no trouble. Guards can hold their liquor and are a good source of income.
Noble
The noble are a group that is nearly impossible to please. They are very arrogant and picky about their food, but they are also willing to pay more for it. A noble doesn't like it when riffraff, such as beggars, are in the tavern, which negatively impacts their social experience.
Mage
Mages are among the most popular people in the town. Whenever a Mage walks through the door, the social mood of the guests lifts, and they feel much more at ease. Their expectations are even higher than those of the nobility, but they come with deep pockets, which will fill your coffers.
Prince
The second-highest rank in the city is the prince. Being wealthy, he demands high-quality food and expects it to be served as quickly as possible. He has little patience but pays very well for his meals.
King
When a king enters your tavern, it's time to drop everything and ensure he gets exactly what he wants. A king is the most impatient person you can encounter and has such high expectations that it's nearly impossible to fully satisfy him. For all other guests, it’s an honor to be drinking in the same tavern as the king. His review of your tavern is more valuable than any other, and he is willing to spend a fortune to ensure his comfort.
Tired of getting your hands dirty? No problem, hire people to work for you. Put your tavern on the job market, and over time, you'll receive applications that you can review, allowing you to decide who to hire or fire.
Whether it's a cook, waiter, or cleaner, establish workflows and manage your staff. Each of them has specific strengths and weaknesses, which can only be effectively utilized through good coordination. Depending on their skills, your workers will also demand appropriate wages. If you feel like you're doing most of the work yourself, you can hire less demanding workers, but if you want everything to run smoothly, you'll need employees who require higher pay.
You can hire up to four workers per tavern. Priorities such as cooking, service, or cleanliness can be individually set according to their skills.
Design your tavern according to your own vision. You decide where guests can sit, where drinks are served at the bar, and where the cooking takes place. Keep paths short and plan your storage areas carefully to create optimal workflows. Decorate your tavern with new table settings, carpets, lighting, and more, as these elements will impact your tavern's rating.
Create your own menu with drinks and meals that you've crafted yourself. Choose from a wide range of ingredients and refine them with spices. Quality is key here as well. The higher the quality and variety of your dishes, the more prestigious your guests will be. Make sure to offer enough options to cater to the preferences of your guests.
Each individual has specific tastes, and offering many variations will increase your guests' satisfaction. Depending on the size and level of your tavern, you can unlock more recipes and stations, allowing for even greater diversity in your food offerings.
Think carefully about the kind of tavern you want to build and what it needs. Do you want to create an upscale restaurant or a cozy evening pub?
Customize your tavern according to your own vision:
Opening Hours: Decide on which days and at what times your tavern will open and close.
Orders: Place orders to keep a reserve of ingredients for food and drink, and set the delivery times for those orders.
Music: Choose from a variety of tracks and set the volume that best suits the atmosphere of your tavern.
Restrictions: Determine which types of guests are welcome in your tavern.
Events: Want to make your tavern more popular? Book bards for live performances, hire dancers, or offer a round of free drinks.
And much more...
